Sacroiliac compression plate

This titanium plate is specially designed for anterior fixation of the sacroiliac joint. The plate stabilizes the joint by compression of the joint space.

Indications are: Dislocation or sub dislocation of the sacroiliac joint and / or pronounced joint instability.

The two oval holes of the plate are shaped with gliding slopes at the end.  Placed at each side of an oval hole,  half- ball headed screws will, when driven home, glide down the slope at each end of the hole resulting in a compressive movement of the plate.
The screw heads will move towards each other at the same time as the joint surfaces will be compressed against each other.
